Since this is my go-to for breakfast, I thought I'd post on what makes this avo-toast different. Sometimes I would add an egg for protein, but most mornings, it's a slice of sourdough toast, avocado (sliced or mashed) some home-grown produce like tomatoes, radishes, arugula and sprouts. I like adding whatever is in season and growing in my garden. Growing sprouts is really easy and I usually have a mason jar or sprouts in the fridge, unless my daughter comes home and makes a sprout salad for herself!
I also like to sprinkle my Sammy Wong's umami seasoning on this toast. I used to do salt and pepper, but since I developed my umami seasoning with some added functional mushrooms, this is now my seasoning of choice. The umami seasoning enhances the flavor. It's delicious!
Here are some images of avocado toasts that I've had for my breakfasts.
